01 // THE IDEA & ARCHITECTURAL PREMISE
A single continuous stroke representing the folded seam of bridle leather, stamped with heat on raw vegetable-tanned hide.

Rooted in Japanese joinery and traditional tanning rituals, Kuro Atelier requested a visual identity that respects 80 years of craftsmanship while appealing to international collectors of bespoke minimalist carry goods.

[ THE CHALLENGE ]

Balancing strict Japanese minimalism with functional luxury that commands four-figure bespoke commissions.

[ STRATEGIC EXECUTION ]

Zero superfluous decorative elements. Tactile blind debossing, uncoated handmade cotton paper, and a proprietary monospaced index system.
